Sophia in short
- I’m 34 years old and live in Vill, a village 200 meters above Innsbruck, with views of the Nockspitze and Patscherkofel mountains.
- In addition to being a professional photographer, I am also qualified as a mountain hiking guide and a level 3 ski instructor. I can take you (almost) everywhere in the mountains!
- After completing my masters in Human Movement Sciences, I moved to Kitzbühel in 2014 to “teach skiing for just one winter.” Well, that clearly escalated and I stayed ever since. Now, I enjoy skiing and ski touring in my free time.
- In 2017, I went on a trip and took a camera with me. That’s how my photography journey began!
- I'm always up for a sporty challenge on my bike. A 500 km ride around the provincial border of North-Holland within 24 hours? Totally doable, right?!
- I love all the seasons and couldn’t imagine living near the equator.
- I enjoy listening to music. Right now, I’m hooked on Eefje de Visser, but I always return to London Grammar, Børns, Oscar & The Wolf, The XX, Odesza, Polo & Pan, Son Mieux, Michael Kiwanuka, Glass Animals, Arlo Parks, Sofiane Pamart, and The Black Keys.

Winter ski wedding
I absolute LOVE skiing and am always excited for winter weddings. Getting your wedding pictures in snow is so much fun. It instantly brings good vibes to the entire day and puts a smile on everyone's face. Whether is a photoshoot with just the two of you on the slopes, or skiing down the mountain with all of your guests... I've got you covered!
As a level 3 ski instructor I am not afraid of steep slopes or challenging conditions. I've explored the pistes of almost every ski resort in Tyrol and am familiar with some resorts in the Dolomites as well.

How did photography become my greatest passion?
Photography became my greatest passion in 2017, when I first travelled with a professional camera. Through photography, I learned to see the world differently, by working with light, colours, lines, perspectives and contrast. Looking through the lens allows creativity to flow and helps me bring people and nature closer together, reconnecting these two worlds through my work.
What does photography give me in return?
Photography gives me the freedom to follow my own path while staying creative and fully present with the people I work with. Being an entrepreneur allows me to create space for creativity, focus, and intention, so I can give my complete attention to you and your story on your wedding day.
Why mountain weddings?
Mountain weddings offer a unique way to get married outdoors, surrounded by nature in both summer and winter. They are ideal for couples who love adventure, want an intimate and meaningful experience, and feel deeply connected to the mountains. The alpine setting creates a sense of freedom, closeness and natural magic.
