You fill in the contact form. I reply personally, usually within a few days, and send the brochure with it. After that we have a video call to see whether it clicks. If it does, you get an offer, and the date is yours as soon as it is signed and the deposit has come in.

Enquiry, then my personal reply with the brochure, then a video call, then the offer and the contract. After that a planning call about times, places and the programme of the day. Everything can be arranged from wherever you are. After the wedding you get the first photographs within three working days, the full gallery within six weeks, and the album after that.

Most couples book seven to fourteen months ahead, and Saturdays in high season go first. Is your date already close? Just ask, sometimes it still works out.

Yes. On signing the offer you pay a deposit of €900. That makes the date definitive, and I will not take on any other work that day. The remaining amount is invoiced before the wedding.

That depends on your programme. Do you want getting ready included, or the party instead? Is the ceremony at eleven or at four? In our first call we put your timeline next to the three collections, and it usually becomes clear quite quickly.

I would love that. Usually we do it by video call, since most couples do not live in Tyrol. If you happen to be nearby, a coffee works too.

Because there is a lot more to it than the day itself. For one wedding I count roughly three hours of preparation, three hours of travel, twelve hours of selecting and editing, an hour for the online gallery and three hours to design your album. On top of that come the fixed costs: cameras, lenses, cards, hard drives, laptop and monitor, professional software, cloud backups, insurance, administration and marketing.

Almost every couple tells me this, and it has never been a problem. You do not need to know how to pose, that is my job. For most of the day I document and you will hardly notice me. I only direct during the couple shoot and the group photo, with instructions you cannot get wrong.

I photograph solo, and that works well up to a good hundred guests. For a bigger wedding we can look together at whether a second photographer makes sense. What I do want to say honestly: the more people there are, the smaller the chance that every single guest ends up in a good photograph. I do my best, but I cannot guarantee it. And there are always guests who simply do not like being photographed.

Then the day goes ahead and we work with what we have. One or two days beforehand the forecast is fairly reliable, and if it looks bad we will have a call. It rarely rains all day, so there is nearly always a dry window for the moments that matter. For light rain I carry two transparent dome umbrellas that photograph well, and in a storm we move somewhere covered.

Count on an hour to an hour and a half, at the moment the light is at its best. If I stay into the evening, I will steal you away for another quarter of an hour when the light turns.

Yes. All through the Austrian Alps, from Lech am Arlberg and Kitzbühel to the Zillertal and the Ötztal. And in the neighbouring countries: Switzerland, Italy (especially the Dolomites and Lake Garda) and Germany, for example Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Within Tyrol travel is included, outside it goes into the offer.

Certainly, as long as we coordinate beforehand. Then we know where the other one stands and nobody walks through the other's frame. And did you know I film as well? If you would like short cinematic footage of your day, you do not need to bring anyone else in for that.

Gladly. I am not a wedding planner, so I will not take the whole plan off your hands, but if you have a question or two I am happy to think along. I have worked here for years and know which alms, huts and spots work, and which florists, make-up artists and planners are a pleasure to work with.

Professional Canon full-frame cameras (R5 and R6) and Canon L lenses that stay sharp in low light. A DJI Mavic 3 Pro for the aerial images, and flashes when they are needed. Of the cameras, lenses and flashes I always carry more than one.

Within three working days the first ten to fifteen photographs are ready for you in your own online gallery. The full gallery is finished within six weeks. The album follows once the selection is done.

Every photograph that worked, usually between 350 and 600. I do not like a fixed maximum: you get the whole story of the day.

Only what you are happy with. I make a small selection and ask your permission before anything appears on my website, in the gallery or on Instagram. If you say no, everything stays private.

Every photograph is written to two cards inside the camera straight away. Back home I copy everything to an external drive, and from that moment a backup also goes automatically to the cloud.

You get a simple usage right: using and publishing the photographs for non-commercial purposes is fine. Selling them on to third parties is not, unless we agree that in writing.
